Artemis by Andy Weir
Did not finish book.
dnf at 30% because I just don’t care and I looked up a plot summary and I’m confident I’m not going to care.
In the Martian and Project Hail Mary we have characters with serious problems taking us along on their problem-solving journey. In Artemis, we have a criminal trying to make some money and not sharing her plan with us until she does something, which is much less compelling.
In Weir’s other books, the characters are also mostly alone. In Artemis, Jazz is dealing with people and it was awkward and awful the whole time.
I see now why this book is much less loved than the others.
