Our Missing Hearts by Celeste Ng

4★: GOOD DYSTOPIAN WRITING SHOULD SCARE, AND THIS BOOK DOES IF YOU'RE UP-TO-DATE ON CULTURE WARS IN AMERICA. The publication of this book coincided with the increase in anti-Asian sentiment due to various politicians calling the COVID-19 virus the "China virus." So reading it this year made the book's climate very realistic. I also liked the role of books and censorship which is also timely. I could feel the fear in some of the characters. I hope this book gets made into a movie, and I will definitely read this author again.
