I loved the modern take on pirates. I thought it was fun that it was more focused on today's world with the addition of fantastical elements like magic and prophecy. I thought the romance was sweet and Caleb and Diana complemented each other nicely. I might have been missing pieces since I haven't read the other books in the series, but I would have loved more background on Diana and her ancestors as well as some more of Caleb's past. Other than that, it was a fun and quick story.
