Probably one of the darkest of the books so far—truly full of cruelty, betrayal, bloodthirst, and selfish spineless people. I actually like that this is also the book where the Beaudelaires start towing the moral line more—having to employ deceit and techniques that Olaf does to survive and questioning what kind of people that makes them. I hate that they are separated at the end.
