This was LB August debut book and WOW! I was hooked from the first chapter. I can’t even remember how I found this gem but I’m so glad I did.
It follows Lily and Theo’s beautiful yet heartbreaking love story.
The way the author wrote the world building was captivating. I felt like I was there, it was so exciting. And I truly enjoyed the concept of all the creatures in the story as well.
The MFC, Lily is a badass and she wields shadows!!! Can you say Shadow Mommy. 🫠 LB’s writing and her concept on shadow wielding was 🤌🏼 I wanna be like Lily when I grow up.😂

The characters were full of personality, I truly felt every emotion that each character was going through. The up and downs of events and relationships I felt. And the spicy scenes 😏 were spicy 🥵 well written and didn’t take from the plot, it ADDED to the plot. And the banter, the side characters were 🤌🏼
I don’t wanna say much cause I don’t wanna give anything away. I will say this…. Definitely worth the time to read, there was so many twist and turns from beginning to end. YES, this one ends on a cliffhanger so be warned. I literally laid in bed for hours trying to gather my thoughts with this ending. I dropped my kindle in my lap and was just staring off and my husband asked if I was okay and I said ‘NOPE, I finished my book and it needed on a cliffhanger and book 2 isn’t out yet.
I certainly can’t wait to read book 2. LB I need book 2 to fill the void and so I have the answers to that ending. 😂
