Love, Creekwood by Becky Albertalli

3.0

Unless you're a fan of Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda/Love, Simon and/or Leah on the Offbeat, there's really no point in reading Love, Creekwood because this is 100% fan service. But since I loved Lean on the Offbeat and enjoyed Simon well enough, I was happy to see these characters again.

Love, Creekwood is an epistolary novella told through a series of emails between the character and while the idea is cute and definitely harkens back to Simon vs..., it doesn't always work. It raises more questions than it does to answer questions, which is really annoying since I'm pretty sure this is the last time we'll get to see these characters and there was really no need to bring them back to do nothing with them.

Abby has all the best parts in this. And Leah still has my heart. The boys? Meh. They're okay, I guess. But Albertalli's ability to write teenagers still impresses me.
