I really enjoyed Crewel so I was really excited to dive into the sequel. Altered started out right where we left off in Crewel but for most of the book things were really slow and it didn't seem like much was happening. When we got 'answers' it just lead to a new set of questions. Also, this book focused way more on the love-triangle, angsty moments at very inappropriate moments. The later half of the book was more action packed and things started to tie together, ending with a cliff hanger leaving me anxious for the last book in this trilogy.
