a “barbie movie” lover’s daydream. an unexpectedly emotional book full of love, inspiration, passion, and triumph. no woman should finish the book feeling unfulfilled with any role they play in the world. characters are easy to root for, and all the pain they feel does not feel limited to the words being read. the biggest issue with the book is that it never tackles the intersectionality of feminism, leaving the feeling that the book was written by a white woman for white women.  overall the read was dramatic and juicy in the best way possible. this story is an american feminist tale that can make girls proud to be who they are.
