This Song Will Save Your Life by Leila Sales

4.0

Often implausible yet such a fun read. (How did the author turn sad and serious conflicts into such an amusement park of a book?) Maybe I just feel cool for knowing the bands and songs mentioned throughout. Maybe I just happen to get how a misfit can also be haughty, how an outcast can turn that status into an asset, how the peer group you imprint with will never see you any other way, and how the brutal interactions among kids and teens are often invisible to adults.
