Mellor did it again: SO. MANY. FEELINGS. The title of the book having “sisters” in it already had me, and once I dove in, I found and felt a lot more than sisterhood. Maybe it’s because I’ve recently been talking about this in therapy, but I think she did a delicate, heartfelt, realistic job in all sorts of addictions, the roles and weight we put on ourselves because our families shape them so. Her previous book had hit me with all the “fall in love” feelings while this one hit the “love and hate my family” ones.
