The Final Six by Alexandra Monir

Did not finish book. Stopped at 8%.
Honestly, I stopped when some character referred to Elon Musk as one of the "greatest [scientific] minds". I don't know if I'll ever return to this -- Leo's good nature compelled me, but I was equally as put off by Naomi, unfortunately. I'm not sure what it is that makes people write femme people in STEM as incapable of participating in any of the arts. Plus, after having heard that she created something that could possibly "hack" someones genome, I didn't really want to wait for eugenics to come into play. The explanations around climate change were also irritating -- we have definitive evidence of harmful effects occurring right now, so I'm not sure why the author wrote that the gov't and other public officials tried to warn us until it was "too late" and that humanity was literally "at war" with the environment. Just rubbed me the wrong way.
