I don't know what is up with the YA romances I've been reading this far, but they've been out of this world so far!!  I loved this book so much.  It was so so cute and sweet, both literally and figuratively lol.  I feel like this story was a love letter to Miami.  I've never been, but the way it was described through Lila's words and how she poured her Cuban roots into her food made me feel like I was there and should def visit soon.

Lila in general was such a vibrant character, you couldn't help but root for her and hope she found what she was looking for.  We all know how much of a sucker I am for the found family trope, so I loved how she slowly became friends with Orion's sister and his friends.  It was like people were just drawn to her, especially Orion.  Ugh, I freaking loved their friends-to-lovers story.  With a little help from Orion and their little adventures, Lila was able to find and accept a new part of herself that belonged in England.

Orion was a genuine friend to Lila and allowed her to feel all the feelings and accept them.  I loved how they turned from a genuine friendship and slowly into a romance.  He was so swoon-worthy.  There were so many things he did that were simply catered toward Lila and her happiness.  All I'm saying is I need one of my own gray wool sweaters because every time Orion gave it to Lila to use, I swooned lol.
