This book falls squarely in the middle of “good” for me. It was a fun read, I don’t regret it, but it didn’t draw me very deep in. I like the main character and Lena but I didn’t feel sympathy or like some of the other characters I think I was supposed to.

I reccommend this if you like “historical” settings, light fantasy elements (but not too integral to the plot), and MoC Geralt of Rivia with fewer powers (I saw this as someone who has only seen the show). If you like a lighthearted mystery this is for you, with glimpses of darkness and lots of adventure.

However, if you want something fast paced and tense that will keep stringing you along and keep you guessing this is not that book. I don’t think it’s falls into the cozy catagory but it’s close at some parts.

I also really enjoy the main characters relationship.
