Consumed: The Need for Collective Change: Colonialism, Climate Change, and Consumerism, by Aja Barber

informative fast-paced

4.0

Covers a lot of topics concerning the environmental effects of overconsumption and all its intersectionality— sometimes broadly and sometimes in details. Good starter on these issues, but if you’ve read a long form article about the topic, you’ll probably find it basic. It’s quite enjoyable to go through (as awful as the situation is) and Aja has such a unique storytelling.

P.S. Does anyone have any recommendations that speaks of the same topics but more from the POV of someone from the global south?
