Binding 13 by Chloe Walsh

5.0

Chloe Walsh fucked me up with this one. Oh my freaking gosh. I'm in love with Johnny and Shannon. I'm in love Joey and Shannon's other brothers. I'm in love with Gibsie and Claire. I'm in love with Johnny's parents. This book is long but in a good way. Normally when books are so long it feels drawn out, but it was necessary. The everyday interactions and shit these characters are dealing with needed to be explained and worked through. And I love how Walsh gave them time to become friends. There aren't enough good things to say about this book. Save this one for a lazy day because you won't be able to put it down. But fair warning: this might be about teenagers, but there are some seriously heavy topics covered. This is not a light, easy read. It's intense and heartbreaking and it hurts. If you don't want to read about abuse, horrific bullying, or depressive thoughts reconsider reading.
