Notes:
- A very fever-dream reading experience! Felt like when you wake up from a dream and can only remember separate chunks that you somehow know are part of the same dream but keep losing the edges of the more you try to remember.
- Didn't give full 5 stars just because I feel like there's more in here I couldn't quite realise. A reread with the total context is definitely needed.
- Really loved the use of repetition in actual sentences and content — especially that they were used in new contexts to link different characters into the same shared identity. Dissolved the importance of individualism really well (and this was a theme I found so fascinating!).
- Other themes I loved: the past being brought into the present, and darkness being used as a way of removing visual identity — helped to dissolve identity/individualism!
