Happy Place by Emily Henry

4.0

this was such a fulfilling read. it had everything i could’ve asked for in a book. romance, depth, emotion, friendship. all of it. i feel like this book was the universe sending me a message, like it came at the perfect time in my life.

harriet and wyn are SUCH GOOD CHARACTERS. i love them both so much. i feel very personally attached to them especially since they’ve expressed fears that i’ve had myself. just the loneliness and feeling like a burden is something that just struck a chord with me while reading this book. and also the whole “i don’t know what i’m doing with my life” parts. it’s very sad but there are so many light hearted moments. the thing i love about emily henry’s books is that they’re not just surface level rom coms. they’re so much more than that and she has a way of writing exactly how you’re feeling, which i feel like a lot of authors can’t do.
