Ohhh this is my new favorite picture book. It is the true story of the author's grandparents and how they met and fell in love at Minidoka. There is a picture of the two young lovers with the author's note at the end. This is a beautiful love story and, as the author writes, a "story of America here and now. The racism that put my grandparents into Minidoka is the same hate that keeps children in cages on our border."
