Abhorsen by Garth Nix

5.0

In my continued journey of re-reading the Abhorsen series, I'm once again delighted to continue on with Lirael and Sam. The stage is now set for the conclusion to much of the groundwork laid in the previous book in the series and does it ever deliver. I loved that Book 3 continued with the slow and steady character development for both Lirael and Sam and didn't rush the experiences they needed to encounter in order to become the versions of themselves you see at the ending of the book. Well worth the tears I shed as I finished and was delighted by the little easter egg finishing this book made me notice on a cover of one of the other books in the series.
