Two Can Keep a Secret by Karen M. McManus

2.0

Okay. So I didn’t love this book, but I didn’t hate it either. This is my second Karen McManus read this year & One of Us Is Lying is by far the best YA murder-mystery I’ve read so I had high expectations for this one, but with the exception of the last line, it was just okay. I loved the concept but I just feel like there wasn’t enough done with the plot and the characters were one dimensional so I wasn’t really invested in any of their stories nor did I really care what happened to them. It was definitely slower paced and didn’t have many twists and turns.

I’m usually not the best at predicting what happens in thrillers, but a few chapters into this one I had a pretty good idea of what was going to happen. It didn’t keep me on the edge of my seat like OOUIL, but once it picked up it was a quick read. I was originally going to give it 2 stars but decided to add an extra star because the title reminds me of the PLL theme song, and I LIVED that show when I was growing up!
