The Sin Eater's Daughter by Melinda Salisbury
5.0
I really enjoyed this book (and I need the second one in my life ASAP). I loved the world, it reminded me a little of the setting of Game of Thrones & The Princess Bride. There were times when I wanted to slap Twylla (eg. Blaming herself for deaths when she was forced to act by the queen, rationally it's not your fault lady!) but on the whole I liked her. The love story was a little dramatic but I wasn't really looking for realism, just oozy love. The importance of religion to the characters was quite interesting & the traditions that went along with that (the sin eating) were intriguing. I saw one of the twists but the others were complete surprises to me. I hope the second book is just as gripping.
