Power Plays & Straight A's by Eden Finley, Saxon James

This was fun, and I enjoyed it a lot! But once again, Eden Finley leaves me with something to be desired.

I don't know what it is. I guess it just felt too easy? It was like, okay, they meet. Or "meet" since they've already met. They like each other. They get together. They live happily ever after. And don't get me wrong, it was super cute, and I enjoyed that. But it just feels like it's lacking something. Like the only drama in their relationship was Zach being like, Wah wah does he really like me that much? :'(

I guess I can't love a romance unless there's a little tension in the relationship. I don't need a big dramatic breakup necessarily. (Tbh, I hate miscommunication breakups. And I hate the, "Omg I knew I could never trust you!!!" breakup either.) Just like... something. Other than them just getting together and being happy. Honestly, I don't even mind if they get together and are happy at the end if there were at least some obstacles to them being together. But there was nothing. It was just, meet, attraction, get together, happy, book over.

Also, lowkey found it annoying the way they treated Seth. Like Seth was totally cool and a way better person than I was. Because I would not have been cool if I wanted to spend time with my best friend and my brother, and they just kept running off to have sex every chance they got. I would have been way more annoyed than Seth was.

Still super excited to read Face Offs & Cheap Shots though.
