The Five Love Languages for Singles by Gary Chapman

2.0

The supposed principles sound plausible in North American culture, but I am unsure they can be universally applied across cultures. Secondly, references to the North American Christian book make the messages sound like an appeal to proselyte readers into this Protestant sect's belief system. As an educator who has years of teaching philosophy to college students, I don't endorse my students to adopt only one viewpoint to a social phenomenon such as relationship. How do we know that these supposed ideas actually work? Referring them back to the manual of a particular religion is not following a scientific inquiry method. I am curious what people of other faith think about the messages in this book, so please share your impressions.
