Post Office by Charles Bukowski

3.0

~Potential Spoilers~

Um. I'd have to categorize this book as a well-written ramble about sex and alcohol that goes on for a very long time. Oh yeah, and the guy works at a post office.

It was definitely not a book for me and despite it disagreeing with me from the beginning, I pushed through. I'm glad I did though, because despite all the strange and useless ramblings of a hopelessly sad man, I wasn't as bored as I could have been. In fact, I got more and more into the rhythm of the book as it went along. This is probably because the author is quite a good writer.

Clearly, others have loved this book far more than I. So perhaps I've missed the book's crucial message. Oh well, onwards to other stories!
