Invincible, Vol. 1: Family Matters by Robert Kirkman

3.0

The original comic is very much of its time I will say. The tv series organised the events in a more interesting way and gave their characters more nuance. The way that Eve is portrayed in the show makes her out to be more  independent of her relationship with guys (Rex and Mark). I feel that the way she is portrayed in the comics is belittling. The choice to have William be openly gay in the show also reflects current social standings and reading him being closeted reminded me again that the comic is very much of its time. Aside from that, a good start to a superhero story.
