Loathe Thy Neighbor by Teagan Hunter

Did not finish book.

I absolutely loved Teagan Hunter's Carolina Comet books, and since the Seattle Serpent books haven't been released yet, I thought this would be a good buffer. Unfortunately, I couldn't get through the first chapter. The main characters, River and Maya, were just incredibly annoying to me from the first conversation, and on top of that, it was hard to follow the dialogue, so I found myself reading the same conversations multiple times. I am all for quirky characters - but emotional support turtles and hating a guy for not liking a particular flavor of pie (which I get isn't the actual reason things wouldn't work) is just too much.
