Batman: The Black Mirror by Scott Snyder

5.0

I wish I had this in Absolute. Not having read much of Snyder's New 52 run, I got this just to see if it would tempt me to revisit Court of the Owls et al. I connect with Dick Grayson and LOVE his Nightwing. So to see his character expounded here under the Black Cowl of Batman, was a true delight; to see him ask for permission before he enters someone's home, to still be there when Commissioner Gordon turns back around, and yet be intimidating in a whole new way is not only what I wanted in a Grayson/Batman book, but it also manages to be what the book is ABOUT. His softness is his downfall as Batman, but his strength as Nightwing. An excellent book but you will have more enjoyment if you know Dick Grayson and the Robins reasonably well.
