The Clergyman's Wife: A Pride & Prejudice Novel by Molly Greeley

4.0

Ok, I'm a fan of Pride and Prejudice. I don't normally pick up retellings or novels inspired by characters from the original as to be honest any I have tried have done an appalling job. The Clergyman's Wife however was a gem. I read it on the recommendation of a bookclub member and I thoroughly agree with her recommendation. Greeley nailed it. I really felt she stayed true to existing characters from P & P, but created new believable characters as well. I even shed a tear which I haven't done with a novel in a very long time.
