A clear and very poor attempt at replicating Bardugo’s Ninth House. It reads like YA and the writing is juvenile and gives off Wattpad vibes. I only read all the way as it was so short. Interesting concept and poorly executed. Cliche after cliche in terms of plot. None of the twists being satisfying. Won’t be reading anything else by this author. Don’t think her style is for me. Despite short length it was an absolute slog to get through. Nothing really happens until last chapter.
