Icebreaker by Hannah Grace

Chef's Kiss.

I went into this 100% blind and I have no regrets about that. I was expecting this to be a cute contemporary sports romance, and it was, BUT OH MY GOD THE SPICE. I was not expecting that spice level. I giggled, kicked my feet, punched my pillow the whole book. I could read a million more books like this from Hannah Grace.

So it's a sports romance, but it's not like a SPORTS. He's a hockey player and that's about as technical as it got and I loved that. Meanwhile she's an ice skater and I learned that hockey ice skates don't have toe picks and that there are two types of leaps.

I relate to Stassie on a deep level with feeling the irrational fear of feeling like you have to be incredible for your adoptive parents to value you because of adoption trauma. Hannah navigated this with Stassie in such an amazing way. I may have teared up and giggled with the coping humor in a few parts of the book.

Stassie and Nate are one of my new favorite fictional couples and Nathan is definitely in my top 10 book boyfriends.

This touch on unhealthy eating habits so please be mindful of that when you go into this book. Other than that warning, I can not recommend this book enough. I m fully prepared to scream my love for this book from the mountain tops and to anyone who will listen too me for more than 3 seconds.
