DNF'd at 42%
So, this is more just a matter of preference, there's nothing inherently wrong with this book. I've read other books by Melanie Harlow in the past and have enjoyed them a lot.
I've never had an issue with the "I fell for my dead husband's brother" trope before, but in this case, because the brothers were actually twins, I had a harder time overlooking that fact not gonna lie.
I started the book over a week ago but haven't actually it in days and was more or less already considering DNF'ing it because of that. You know when you don't habe the urge to pick up a book that it's probably just not meant to be.
But, I thought I'd give it one last chance tonight, just in case. Cuz, you never know!
Unfortunately, I just read the scene in which Wes talks to his dead twin... and yea, nope. This is not a PNR book or whatnot. Your dead twin does not simply appear outta nowhere to give you his approval to sleep with his widowed wife.
Sad to say this, but next!
