Been on a roll for cheating tropes lately so down the rabbit hole we go.

This book is fvcking hilarious—and I mean that sarcastically—with everyone cheating on everyone. I haven't read a book with so many characters cheating in just one story. Then there are the plots—yes, too many of them that even the author didn't know how to handle them. I mean, girl, make up your mind. Is this all about cheating, business drama, family affairs, suicide, drug and rape, etc. It was just... too much.

The FMC was like... "We can't do this." but still takes the job and just can't stop even though she's always looking at his wedding ring.

Then the MMC was like... "I know we shouldn't do this but..." still leans on her and keeps brushing her hand every chance he gets. Until they both gave in at the last two chapters of the book that ended with a cliffy.

It was like that all throughout the book—the push and pull but I don't feel any romantic notions from them other than lust. Their affair is all about getting in each other's genitals to escape the stress from their lives, Jules from her toxic ex and one night stand with her married boss in Oklahoma and Cash from her strikingly beautiful and sexy wife.*rolls eyes*

All I kept thinking was, Cash is still in love with his wife but since he needs to get laid and his wife isn't giving it to him, he turns into his assistant—heck, he even falls for a blowjob from her wife while being "in love" with his mistress. And don't get me started with him calling her wife "my wife" every damn time when he could've called her Monica if the feelings aren't there anymore and wants to divorce her.

Ugh. Frustrating.
