Lucas & Callie: These Two Are Amazing Together! A Supernatural, Crime-Fighting Bonnie & Clyde! 5 Stars
Another hit! This is one of the many wonderful authors that I have been introduced to this year and I must say I'm loving the discovery of indie authors with amazing stories to tell!
In Dead of Night, we meet Callista (Callie for short), a witch who makes a habit of slaying demons and unaliving rogue vampires. She meets vampire, Lucas as she is giving the business to a vampire who she catches trying to feed off of a human. The banter but feel an attraction towards one another. Apparently, witches and vampires don't mix. However, the draw is too strong and the two begin a relationship. Unfortunately, a demon has his sights set on Callie and Lucas will stop at nothing to protect her. Nevertheless, with the laws against them, how will they remain together?
The chemistry between these two is undeniable. They're both funny and protective of each other without being annoying. By the end, you'll have no choice but to continue on. I can't get enough of these two! This series is definitely one I'll continue as I am curious about the secrets concerning Callie and her origin. To be continued...
