4.5
Love the characters and the story, even on my third go-around (when I'm leaving this review as I reread before book #4).
However, I'm not in love with JLA's lazy writing style and obsessive repetition of certain words/phrases. I also get thrown out with modern lingo like "mentally throat punching myself" and "throwing down" throughout the story. Does anyone edit or beta her books? Like...at all???
But I still rate it high, because the story is great, I love the characters, and the smut is hot. I'm easy to please.
