Everything Leads to You by Nina LaCour
5.0
What I loved the most about this book, regardless of how people perceive it as a kind of fluffy piece of work, it normalizes sexuality like no other. It's not one of those big gay epiphany books or figuring out, because Emi is already out and about, very much recently single and ready to mingle. She's got her shit figured out since before graduating high school and I am so so thankful for that.
Nothing in the romance takes out from the friendships, nothing from the mystery takes out from the self-discovery, hell, even nothing from the story development takes out from the character development. It's the perfect balance of every single aspect and that's just one of the most satisfying things ever.
I was going to take out a star, but I didn't even know why I was going to. My brain says there was something missing but it can't be missing anything if nothing was amiss. Ava and Emi were perfect and cute, Chloe was the bestest friend anyone could have asked for, and so was Jamal and just. I love it.
