Tender Is the Night by F. Scott Fitzgerald

Glamour, Decline, Depression

“I have to go back to the clinic. It’s not raining now.”

Overall: There were moments of beautiful observations of people and life. Ultimately, I found the plot too elusive, in-and-out to be enjoyed.

Pros:
-- the psychiatric subplot, especially that of Nicole and Rosemary
--Adore this cover

Cons:
-- bored characters
-- evocatively vague narration
