I enjoy this series but there are some problematic things happening in these books. For one, Ren the dhampir is increasingly creepy to Mito. He pushes himself on her & has taken her blood without her permission. He's a creep but he's definitely painted as one of the love interests. Also, the cross dressing aspect has elements that made me uncomfortable but the series is handling it surprisingly well overall. Both Ren and Ruka have stated that they don't care what gender Mito is because they just love him/her as a person, regardless of gender. I'll keep reading this story because I am absolutely fascinated by the characters & I have to see how Ruka & Mito's desire for one another plays out.
Moderate: Blood, Stalking, Toxic friendship, Sexual harassment, and Dysphoria
