I think I would need to read this a second time to really understand everything that was going on; at times I feel like I wasn't really taking in all the prose. The ending also seemed a bit underwhelming for me. But I really enjoyed this. The short vignettes and the back-and-forth between the "worlds" worked really well, and I think the metaphors weren't too heavy-handed.
