Hidden Figures Young Readers' Edition by Margot Lee Shetterly

4.0

This is first and foremost a history book and as such can be a bit dry and difficult to follow at times, especially in the beginning. It's not a novelization and doesn't have the sort of flow like there is in the movie. All of that being said, this is still a fascinating look at race relations of the 1950s and 60s, the experience of women in the workplace after the second world war, aeronautical science, and the intersection of those things at Langley Air Force Base.

If any of the above topics interest you, I recommend it. These untold stories deserve to be told.
