Wren Martin ruins it all! #gifted thanks to @coloredpagesbt @peachtreeteen @am.dewitt !!
I have to confess I only finished this book today and considering my inability to read recently because of everything that's happening I think this book is just that good to have finally gotten me to read.
I was really excited to read because I'm also ace and let me tell you it did not disappoint. It helped cheer me up so much to read this very cute bundle of fluff. It had so many things I like:
- a cute heartwarming friendship
- so much fluff
- rivalry and fun bickering
- the love interest being extremely and uncontrollably fond of everything the mc does
- queerness
- fluff fluff fluff flu-
- one more confession: Leo is so much like namjoon you guys don't understand I couldn't help myself
I really loved the side characters so much as well especially archer who probably was the least complex character ever but I like him for it. He's an idiot.
The book tackles grief and yall I know I enjoy my grief books (that sounds... um) I think it wasn't as heavy as I'd like on it but it is a contemporary romance after all and I can do without too much of that at the moment anyway.
The author did amazingly at writing relatable characters and fun dialogue (omg Wren is actually funny to me I was smiling like half of the book). The story was fun too. I loved the character dynamics -please give me a teacher like Ms. Little- and I just really really enjoyed the journey.
If you want a rivals to lovers, queer ace romance that's just absolutely filled with fluff (okay u get it, I know) PICK THIS UP!!
