Did not finish book.

A lot of meandering, style was so "dry british humor", guy who is just over it/above it, after a very interesting intro of the squid disappearing it was mostly lots of magic (which was more boring than expected) and not enough mystery and suspense. That police gal should definitely have been the main character.
