I've had my ups and downs with the My Heart Belongs... series, and I am happy to say that this book makes it into the "Up" category! This was also my first exposure to this author, and I hope it won't be the last!

I was actually surprised by this book! I thought I wouldn't like it, but I really did! I loved how flawed the characters were, they were so much more realistic to me because of that! I related the most with Millie, who was hard-working and dedicated, as well as loving. I loved watching her heart soften toward the family that stood in the way of her happiness. The faith aspect in this story was actually really well done, woven in with a subtle, and yet realistic touch. This is a story that would go far to help the uncertain among the faith with their struggles!

On the whole, I really enjoyed this story and would definitely read more by this author!
