This book is very different from what she normally writes. Without spoiling anything, all the things that would be "swept under the rug" are focuses of this story. I enjoyed the story to an extent, but it had weirdness to it that kept unsettling me. I did not appreciate the mess with Luck. Speaking of mental health issues is important, but when you leave a sour taste it defeats the point. I would have given it 5 stars if both Merit and her brother would have found some other person to help "problem solve"
