Actual rating 3.5 stars One night, driving home his family home after his daughter’s lacrosse game, Jason Bennett and his family find their lives hit with a flash of violence and sent into a tailspin of conspiracy. Now in the sights of a drug-trafficking organization, the Bennetts are taken into witness protection. But WITSEC is meant for criminal informers not families and following procedure is pulling what is left of Jason’s family apart at the seams.
Suspend rationality and just go with the story. That is what I told myself. I wanted a tale that would have me whipping through pages and eager to find out what happens next. This one delivered that. Realistic? Hell no. But I got my page-turner and I got a heavy dose of “you think you know what is coming but you really don’t” plotline. Timing is everything and this one was timed perfectly for me.
