Justice League, Volume 4: The Grid by Geoff Johns

3.0

What it has going for it: focus on other characters like The Atom, Firestorm, Element woman, which play well since the Justice League should be more than just Superman/Batman/Wonder Woman (although we do get plenty of that); also, we get our first view of Batman's "brother eye" mentality from the old continuity in the New 52.

What it has going against it: The whole volume exists only to build up to the Forever Evil event. This means that a lot of what happens doesn't make sense on its own, and the book is missing several introductions that must have happened on the Justice League Dark and/or Justice League International titles.
