New Kid by Jerry Craft

5.0

Well deserved of the Newbery Medal, the first for a graphic novel. No matter your age, you should read this well written and illustrated story of fitting in, finding out who you are, understanding the role race can play in how we see one another, and remembering how difficult it is to navigate middle school. This will be a classic, that adults should read, as well as children.
