Boneyard by Seanan McGuire

4.5/5*
I have never played an RPG and until I heard of this book, I hadn’t heard of Deadlands. Despite that, I went into this book with optimistic hope after enjoying some of Seanan McGuire/Mira Grant’s other work.
I wasn’t disappointed.
This book perfectly balanced the tight-knit community of the travelling circus with the eerie atmosphere of the woods surrounding a small rural town. It was deliciously dark - and whilst the ending felt a little rushed - my attention didn’t waver.
