‘Forever Golden’ is the final instalment in the ‘Kings of Cypress Pointe’ bully romance series by authors Rachel Jonas and Nikki Thorne.

This book rounded off West and Blue’s story by bringing it to a nice and satisfying end—we got answers to Vin’s dealings. However, not only did this book draw a conclusion to their story but it also sets it up nicely for the other couples stories in the KOCP world. The plot was nicely paced and easy to follow, which made it more enjoyable.

Under the pressure of prying eyes, West and Blue seek out the answers to what’s really going on in Cypress Pointe. With help from their family, friends and trusted allies they get what they’re looking for, but that doesn’t go without saying there isn’t some turbulence along the way. Blue and West need to be seen as if they’re falling apart in the eyes of the public in order to keep a certain someone off their backs to bide some time. But even when they’re ‘fake’ hating on one another West and Blue’s love holds strong.

I really enjoyed when the whole ‘Golden Crew’—as dubbed by Pandora—took a trip to the triplets’ grandfather’s place in Louisiana for the holidays. We got to meet the infamous cousins that drive their grandfather crazy, they definitely left an impression, so my hope here is that there is a possibility we might see them in their own books?!

The evolution of this trilogy was really interesting because it may have started out as a bully romance—with a strong fmc in Blue, who never backed down against the domineering West—but it became a romance story of two individuals who hadn’t had the best of upbringing’s and having so much love not just for one another but for the people in their lives that they care for.

I loved the relationship in this series, not just our main characters but we got to see the underlying list that Dane and Joss hold for one another. Along with a strong sisterly/brotherly  bond—I especially liked how the triplets took so easily to being somewhat of an older brother to Scarlet—and dare I even say a bromance brewing between West and Ricky? I can only hope.

West was the perfect example of the ‘guy who falls harder’ trope and I ate it all the way up. He may have been a dick at the start but he truly turned it all around. Him wanting and planning a future with Blue was everything, it had me rooting for these guys even more.

And I loved who Blue was as a person, the way she cared for the safety of her sister. Blue’s life revolved around Scarlet, so it was so good to see that the ending for this couple was them getting their own independence. Blue was finally able to rely on Mike, to care for Scarlet, allowing her to go off to college knowing she’s safe.

With the plot drawing to an end here it also left open other questions too, ones that I’m sure can be answered with Dane, Sterling and Ricky’s books—with one of the most important questions still being: who is Pandora?

Overall, an enjoyable and interesting read!
