The Dangers of Smoking in Bed by Mariana Enríquez

4.0

I'm not very used to reading short stories (I must have read only a handful of short story collections in my life), so my evaluation might not match that of people who've read a lot more than me.
I really enjoyed the stories, some more than others. At first I thought that The Well was going to be my favorite, but now that I've read all, I see that the ones who stuck with me the most were Meat and Kids Who Come Back. The author does a great job at creating eerie environments and grabing your attention, but I do feel that some stories ended too soon.
Interestingly, the story that lent her name to the title of the book was one of my least favorites.
Seeing as this is a translated copy, I hope to reread this book in spanish one day!
