What happened with Lon and the dragon was pretty ridiculous. He could have just thrown the grenade, and that entire little sub-plot could have been avoided. It was also weird that there's just a random dragon for the first time in the series. It felt very much like it was just poorly slapped in there for the drama of killing people off without any real reason, but they couldn't think of any good way to push things forward. I don't think the whole book was poorly written, but that part definitely was. Additionally, then Arachnid was telling them they weren't given all the information, Androma immediately asked why they would want to do that. Because, like you were literally just told... Lol.

Other than that, I feel pretty much the same as the first book.

I enjoyed the ending and happened with all the characters. It had some crazy plot twists, and I liked the plot. There were some instances of poor writing or bad execution, but overall, I'm happy with it.
